I can produce my own brochures, pamphlets, menus and others to be used in the classroom.

Erm..I think that..we dont' have to buy the two books because we didnt's use it. We spend lot of our times with the module which I think is very useful yet in my opinion, the thickness should be reduce. It is because the content sometimes is just repeating the same steps.

With knowledge that I gained from this module, I can edit videos dowloaded from the internet in order to suit with student's level and use it in the classroom.

I can edit songs that I've chosen by cutting or combining it together and thus it makes the lesson interesting.

What do you like about this module?

It gives me chance to show my creativity in editing pictures...and I can explore lot of skills in editing pictures. Who knows, perhaps one day I can be a professional in photo editing..haha!

It's a way to express my feeling as Mdm Foziah want it to be meaningful and show a story. Besides, I can show my creativity too..

What do you like about this module?

This module introduced me to lot of softwares that I never know before. I learnt new things that is interesting and very useful.

I need to download many softwares and it might harm my laptop.

The task give me chance to explore and try new things that I've learnt from the module.

I learnt how to download songs,video and convert songs to MP3.

In the future, I can just download all the interesting videos and songs from the internet and edit it to be used in the classroom. The most important thing, I should choose the right videos and songs that is suitable with student's level.

Week 15

1)What do you like about blogging?

Before this, I always read people's blog and never expected that I'll have my own blog..haha..Okey..back to the question,blogging allow me to express my feeling and thought about this subject. Through blogging, I also can improve my writing skill and my critical thinking.

2)What you do not like about blogging?

Sometimes it makes me frustated when I want to upload pictures or videos in my blog. It takes quite a long time to upload pictures and videos.

3)What have you gained from blogging e.g. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc. How?

As what I said before, blogging really help me in improving my writing skill and critical thinking. Reflection that we have to do everyweek help me to improve myself in both skills. Through reflection, i need to reflect critically as my writing will show my understanding on what I've learnt during the lesson.

4) What do you like about this course?

Through this course, I got the chance to learn lot of applications and softwares and thus it improves my technological skills. I learnt and knew how to convert songs, edit pictures,videos and many more. It expand my knowledge in technology as well. All the knowledge that I've gained from this course were really useful for me as a future teacher.

5) What you do not like about this course?

Ermmmmm...frankly speaking, i don't like the VERY THICK MODULE...I know, that the THICK Module is very useful for me..but the problem is,it is VERY THICK..and sometimes..the content is same..the previous students just print it many times and combine it together. The Module take quite long time to be finished and therefore I need to manage my time wisely.

6) What have you learnt from this course?

Lot of things regarding technology such as photo editing,softwares and other.

7. What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?

As I said before...owned a blog, all the softwares that I never know about its existance and functions..hehehe

Week 14

This week we have to submit Module 4 and all the tasks from the module. There were 3 tasks and basically, there we quite same with all the tasks before. For the first task ( individual work), we need to split video clips, images and audio while the second task (pair work), we need to make a video that is interesting, attractive and convey meaning or a story to the viewers.

For individual task, I've decided to choose a video of a song entitled "Standing in the Eyes of the world" by Ella. It was a patriotic song and gives inspiration to all lieteners. Second task, my group members and I had decided to make a video about " A Holiday in Paris". This was an interesting video as it gave us chance to know and learn about beautuful places in Paris and its culture as well.

Lastly, for the last task, I was assigned to make a lesson plan for writing skill.

Goodbye Module 2 and Welcome Module 4....

This week, we have to submit all the tasks for Module 2 as well as the module itself. The tasks include the individual work (edit a picture and upload it on Photobucket), the pair work (ebook) and the group work (lesson plan). All the tasks were basically based on photo editing and it's act as a medium for us to apply and practise the skills and knowledge that we had gained from Module 2.

Okey..enough with Module 2 and now let us talk and discuss in brief about Module 4. Basically, Module 4 was based on Video Editing. Yeah....I was quite excited!! hehehe...

From this module, we were introduced to lots of software that has been using for video editing. I never know how to edit the videos and hope that through this module, I can learn lot of skills in video editing.

E-Book..Extra Module 2

It's just 2 weeks more for the end of this semester. Owh...time goes so fast..is it??Okey...i don't want to talk much...just straight to the point. For this week c

lass, Madam Fooziah showed us some ebooks prepared by seniors and herself. The ebook shown was simple yet attractive. The most important thing, it is suit with the level of students. What is ebook?

EbOok??

An electronic book (also e-book, ebook, digital book) is a text- and image-based publication in digital form produced on, published by, and readable on computers or other digital devices."

After showing the samples of ebook, in a group, we need to produce our own ebook. Before that, Mdm Fooziah reminded us that an ebook should have all these criteria:

1. a theme for storyline
2. setting
3. a plot
4. characterization
5. navigational tool
6. clear, clourful and attractive pictures
7. sound effect

My group members were Ashraf, Syikin and me. After had several dis

cussion, we decided to produce an ebook based on the topic "Animals and Us " specifically for Year 2 pupils. As a brief, our ebook tells about a story of a boy who had a trip to the zoo. Along his trip, he saw many animals in the zoo such as elephant, crocodile, monkey and etc.

Before the class end, Madam Fooziah gave the continuation parts for Module 2. Owh Gosh...!There's another work and burden for me....do I have ample time to finish all this??Hurm....

Okey...enough for this entry.... BubbYee....~~!!

This is what I've promised to all of you...hhehehe....So, how was it??Did it tell a story or a message to you??For me, of course...it did tell a message and a story. From the photo,

we can see the excitement and enjoyment of the girl (my sister) during her holiday. She was very happy.

Now,let us compare the photo before and after the editing process:

So far, I was satisfied with mt product in editing the photo.hehe....and I'm sure that I can improve more next time. Mdm Fooziah also satisfied with my work and I'm really proud of it..hahha!It means that I don't have to re-do the task.. =)

During the class, Mdm Fooziah showed some edited pictures to us and we were really impressed looking all the pictures.

Time move vey fast and it's already 10th week of PBEY 3102. For this week class, Pn Fooziah once again give us time and chance to complete our Module 2.

As Module 2 is basically based on photo editing, Pn Fooziah assigned us to edit a photo and upload it on Photobucket

Photobucket is an image hosting, video hosting, slide show creation and photo sharing website.

The edited photo must convey meaning and tell a story to us. Thus, it's going to be meaningful for us.

Happy Eid-Mubarak + Module 2

Frankly speaking...my soul is still in "Raya Mood"...hehe...Oh..Before that.."SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI,MAAF ZAHIR DAN BATIN" to my lecturer, Mdm Foziah and to all my friends..

For the first class after 2 weeks break, we received a new task...MODULE 2. Forget about your duit raya,kuih raya, open house and etc...and now...start focus back to the module. It means, I need to try as much as I can to complete all the tasks in the module. Spend lots of time with that and hard life will begin again.

Module 2 focus on Photo Editing using Photoshop CS3, Photoscape, Photobucket,ACDSee and etc. I enjoyed myself doing this module as I love editing pictures.

Meaningful "DUIT RAYA"... *wink2*

The class has been canceled...yet there is still lots of work to be completed...OMG! *sigh*

Today..we got 3 more tasks to be completed during our Raya Break...

My "Raya mood" is spoil because of these taks....

Okey..now..Stop whining, and just enjoy your meaningful "DUIT RAYA"..hahahaha

The 3 tasks are:

• MODULE 3
• LESSON PLAN
• TEACHING AIDS

Thank God.. this module is not as thick as module 1..

This module is basically about audio editing using softwares like Audacity, Sony Vegas, Mucis Editor and etc.

In group of 5, we need to prepare 4 lesson plans based on particular topic that has been assigned.

1 lesson plan for double period and 3 lesson plans for single period. My group has to do lesson plans based on topic "Food I Like" and it is focus for Yea

r 2 pupils.

Next,,the last task for us is we need to find and collect all the teaching aids regarding to the topic that we have selected for each years. The materials must be non-technological and technological based.

I really hope that I can manage my time very well in order to complete all the tasks.

Nothing much to complaint...comment or anything.. Thanks a lot to Mdm Foziah for giving us the time to complete the module in this week class. So, we just use this precious time wisely to make sure that the module is complete.

It's very THICK!

This week class has made me half crazy....and nervous! Why???

Because of a thick MODULE ...

The module was thick..and we were given only 2 weeks to finish up all the things in the module.

2 weeks only???!! YES....and for this whole 2 weeks..I will humbling myself with this module and it's become my BFF...of course..not forever!haha...Am I able to complete all these??

Erm.....maybe YES...or maybe NO...but whatever the answer is..when the due date come...it must be completed. No more reasons anymore.!Huh.......*Sigh*

The content:

This module was focusing on the computer and internet skills. It contains the steps on how to download songs and videos. It helps and introduce me to softwares that can be used to download videos and song. In fact, some of the softwares were new for me and I didn't even know it before.

It was really benefitial!

So, what we need to do with this module? It's just simple and easy...FOLLOW ALL THE STEPS...and PRINT SCREEN ON POWER POINT PRESENTATION...THAT'S ALL!!

Teaching Aids...

1...2...3...4....5!! It's already fifth week...and I've learned lots of thing in this class.

For this week 3 hours class, we were asked to find and work with our pair from different gender.BOY with GIRL!

Why?? Mdm Fooziah said that girl's works are better than boys. Haha..pity to all boys outside there..For me, not all boys are like that..instead, in some area..they are much better. Boys and girlsare same...

And for teacher especially, do not underestimate or bias towards any gender because it just make your pupils become inferior and thus will affect their performance in classroom.

Okey..back to the topic...So, what was our task for this week??Working with our pair..we need to collect as many teaching aids that can be used in teaching and learning process. I was pair up with Ashraf. For this task, we need to collect teaching aids based on the topic :

• GLORIOUS FOOD

• BEAUTIFUL HARVEST

• ANIMALS

All the teaching materials that we were collected must be technological based which means that it can be used using technological tools such as smartboard, laptop and many more.

Collecting teaching material taught me that as a teacher, we must choose the most appropriate teaching materials to be used in the classroom. The teaching materials should be interesting, colourful and the most important thing, it can capture pupil's attention towards the learning process as well as helps the learning be more effectively done.

For this week lesson, we were introduced to Moyea Youtube FLV Downloader Pro. It is the easiest and fastest software to download videos from Youtube. Without waiting for a long time...we can download any videos from Youtube in just a few minutes. It sounds interesting right??

Thanks a lot to Mdm Fooziah for introducing this software to us. Now, we can download as many videos as we want and enjoy watching the videos downloaded.

What's next??

Then, it's time for us to practise using the software. Mdm Fooziah asked us to download a video, MP3 and lyrics for WakaWaka song. For each task, we need to describe all the steps using power point presentation.

Working With Young Language Learners

w Hi Guys!!It's me again.. (^_~)

What we had done for this 3rd week of PMEY3102??
Hurm..for this week, we were asked to do a group work and each group have to present their particular topic using microsoft power point. The main topic that we were discussing for was " Working with Young Language Learners". Referring to 'Young Language Learners'..of course..it refers to the young children and this topic was very related for me as the future primary school teacher. It is because, as a language teacher it is important for me to know the skills and characteristics of young learners which will help them to learn and acquire another language.
The characteristics of young learners that make them be able to learn another language were:

• Children's ability to grasp meaning
• Children's creative use of limited language resources
• Children's capacity for indirect learning
• Children's instinct for play and fun
• The role of imagination
• The instinct for interaction and talk

My group were asked to discuss in details on the fifth characteristics which is 'The role of imagination'.

Imagination can be defined as the ability to create pictures in your mind. As we look around, children love to fantasize. They pretend or acting like someone else in different situations in a very creative way. When you were a child, have you ever imagine that you are a doctor? You and your friends pretending to be in a hospital..one of you became a doctor and the rest became a nurse or a patient. . In other situation,sometimes we are alone..but we imagine that there's another person or we can call as 'imaginative friend' playing with us.
Imagination among children is important as it helps in developing children's creative thought and it also allows children to form new ideas. Thus,this particular role is very important and useful to help children in acquiring other language in their life. Some classroom activities that can be used in order to generate children's imagination are hot seat activity, pantomime and role play.
Because of time constraint, my group didn't manage to present our topic and it will be continued on the next class.

Reflection: 2nd Week

Second entries of this week..Erm..what we have learned in the 2nd week of this subject?This week..we learned about typing skill. I'm sure that everybody knows how to type..but how fast can you type??How fast can you type a single paragraph without any mistake??30 second??1 minute??2 minute??or even less?? Do you have the right skill of typing??All these questions basically related with what i have learned in this 2nd week.Pn Fooziah,my respective lecturer taught us about typing skills.




She mentioned us about the importance of touch typing. What is touch typing??Touch typing is a popular techniques for using the computer keyboard much quicker than before. When we have master touch typing, we can type without looking at the computer keyboard anymore. It sounds great right?? So, from now onwards.. i should try to master touch typing in order to improve my typing skill.

Besides, we also did a questionnaire regarding to this subject. From the questionnaire, i realized that there are many aspects of technology that i need to explore and master. I really hope that through this subject, I can improve myself.
Pn Fooziah also introduced 2 types of software that were very useful for us.The two software were:

Using and Developing Resources for The ESL Classroom???! Erm..what is it actually?? Why I have to take this subject??For the first step I came into the computer lab..these were the questions that came into my mind. Pn Fooziah, my tutor for this subject has explained briefly on what we were going to do in this subject. From her explanation, i can say that basically this subject focus more on how a teacher has to come up with authentic, interesting and useful teaching materials to be used in the learning process. The teaching materials are not the 'traditional' one like flashcards, picture cards and etc. Instead, it uses a lot of resources from newly technology and many kinds of software that is much more interesting to be used especially in the primary classroom. That is why this subject is very important for me as a future teacher. why is it important??..because it exposes and teaches me to be more CREATIVE in teaching..Yes!as a teacher i agree that we have to be more creative in teaching process in order to grasp pupil's interest and to make the lesson become more effective.
During the lesson, Pn Fooziah also remind us to get these three things:
- 8gb pendrive
- one passport photo
- send ur blog url to her

I really hope that i can learn a lot of interesting things in this class!
